VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Indrocorp Technologies Inc. (“INDROTEK” or the “Company”) today announced the appointment of Mark Orsmond, Steven Barrenechea and Major General Phillip M. Churn, U.S. Army (Retired), to its Board of Directors. These new directors bring decades of combined experience in corporate finance, public company governance and senior military leadership, adding depth to the Board as INDROTEK advances its strategy across defense, critical infrastructure and commercial markets.

Mark Orsmond
Mr. Orsmond is a seasoned finance and business executive with more than 25 years of experience leading and scaling public and private companies across a range of industries, including technology, electric vehicles, utilities, marine services and natural resources. His expertise spans corporate finance, capital markets, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions and operational transformation.
Mr. Orsmond currently serves as chairman of AIML Inc., a technology company focused on advanced signal identification and artificial intelligence applications. He previously served as chief financial officer and executive vice president of Taiga Motors Corporation, where he helped lead the company’s growth from a startup to a publicly traded company through a $151 million public listing transaction. He also served as Corix Utilities Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, overseeing finance, treasury, tax and internal audit functions for a large North American utility platform. Prior, he served at All-Sea Group as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, where he played a key role in the company’s international expansion and eventual sale to a private equity investor.
Mr. Orsmond is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of South Africa.
Steven Barrenechea
Mr. Barrenechea is an experienced business executive, corporate advisor and public company director with extensive expertise in corporate governance, capital markets, investor relations and strategic development. He currently serves as executive vice president of ALG 2006, a transactional investment banking and advisory firm focused on the oil and gas, helium, independent power, data center and technology sectors, where he specializes in corporate governance, board protocol and investor outreach.
Mr. Barrenechea also serves as a director of Vision Marine Technologies Inc., a Nasdaq-traded company focused on the electrification of recreational boating, where he is a member of its Governance, Audit and Compensation committees. Since 2023, he has served as a consultant to INDROTEK, advising on corporate strategy and business development initiatives.
Previously, Mr. Barrenechea served at Dune Energy as interim Chief Executive Officer and director, where he helped guide the company’s development into a NYSE-listed oil and gas producer. Earlier in his career, he founded Coastal Restaurants, Inc. and served as its Chief Executive Officer, overseeing its growth and operations until the business was sold in 2004. Mr. Barrenechea holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
Major General Phillip M. Churn, U.S. Army (Retired)
Major General Churn retired from the United States Army in April 2019 following a distinguished 37-year military career. He is the founder, chief executive officer and president of SYZYGY International, LLC, a risk management and security consulting firm providing strategic advisory services to government and private-sector clients.
Throughout his military service, General Churn held a number of senior leadership positions, including during deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He was responsible for overseeing approximately 13,000 Military Police personnel, representing one of the largest law enforcement organizations in the world. In his final military assignment, he served at the Pentagon as Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for Reserve Matters, advising senior military leadership on reserve component policy, readiness and strategic initiatives.
General Churn holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Mount Saint Mary’s University and a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College.
