SnackPro®, the AI-powered app designed to help families managing food allergies make more informed food decisions, today launched a major update. The new version features multi-profile tracking, enhanced allergen scan results, pregnancy mode, and improved nutrition guidance.
With this update, the different dietary needs of multiple family members can be easily managed in one app, making SnackPro more practical for households navigating food allergies, nutrition goals, pregnancy-related food risks and everyday food decisions. “Food decisions are rarely one-size-fits-all, especially for families,” said Allon Mason, Founder of SnackPro. “A single household may include a child with a sesame allergy, someone watching sodium intake, and an expectant mother who may want to be more cautious about foods commonly considered higher risk during pregnancy. This new version of SnackPro was built for that real-world complexity, providing families with faster, clearer and more personalized information to support food decisions when they need it most.”
What’s New in SnackPro
The update introduces seven major enhancements:
- Multi-profile tracking: Families can conveniently manage multiple users with different allergies, food concerns and nutrition needs in a single app, including child food profiles managed by a parent or caregiver.
- Pregnancy mode: Highlights foods commonly considered higher risk during pregnancy, providing an additional informational layer for expectant parents.
- Faster scan results: Enhanced food and ingredient recognition helps deliver results quickly when users need them, whether eating out, shopping, cooking or deciding what they may want to learn more about before eating.
- Improved daily recommended values: Users receive clear guidance on sugars, saturated fats and sodium for more informed decisions.
- Macros with every scan: Protein, carbs and fat information is shown with every scan.
- Richer results and sharing screens: Scan results are clearer, more visual and easier to share with caregivers, family members or healthcare professionals.
Built for Real Families And Individual Users
Unlike other apps focused on calorie counting or barcode scanning, SnackPro lets users get personalized information on allergens, nutrition signals, daily value guidance and macros in a single scan, in real time. Onboarding is also designed to be simpler and more accessible for younger users, families and parent or caregivers.
“Food allergy management has changed significantly over the past few decades,” noted Dr. Christopher Warren, SnackPro Medical Advisory Board member and director of Population Health, Northwestern University’s Center for Food Allergy and Asthma Research. “Families now face more allergies, decisions and daily risks. SnackPro provides relevant information at the moment they need to make a food decision and is designed to be simple for children and families to use in real time. SnackPro’s AI-powered food and allergen analysis has the potential to change how families managing food allergies interact with food.”
